City May Drop Deloss Street Paving Plans
The City Board of Public Works may drop the Deloss street concrete paving project from Shelby to State after a closed door session. The dispute involved Theodore Dammeyer city board president contractor William D Vogle and other officials over bids and material issues. The decision follows remonstrances and a June bidding cycle with Vogle’s low bid at 21 000 dollars for 8 800 square yards of concrete, versus 5 14 per lineal foot for asphalt.
