Indiana Boys Compete for Edison Scholarship Honors
A small group of Indiana high school graduates will be examined by the state board of education to determine the Indiana candidate for the Thomas A. Edison scholarship. Preliminary tests covered general information intelligence science mathematics and physics or chemistry with about seventy boys competing. The top scorers will enter a final state exam and one winner plus an alternate will be chosen to represent Indiana and visit Edison in New Jersey around August 1. The winner receives a four year technical school scholarship and each state representative gets an Edison radio phonograph combination. Indiana University extension division handles the contest administration.
