James A. Helmbrecht, 35, a Central State hospital attendant, is robbed of $1,020 after being forced at gunpoint to drive to a wooded lane at Lafayette road and Fifty-fourth street. A second car with an accomplice fled as Helmbrecht was handcuffed to his wheel. $872 in checks and $150 from his pocket were taken. Deputy sheriffs freed him with a hacksaw after he flagged Milton Taylor nearby.
