Aged man killed by interurban in Columbus incident
An elderly man believed to be George Sylvester, about 65, an inmate of the Darton Soldiers' home, was fatally struck by an Interstate interurban bound for Lenisville Kentucky at the corner of Georgia and Illinois streets. Motorman Edward Barry said the man stepped into the path while using a cane. The wheels tore his body, and he died en route to city hospital. Evidence found linked him to the soldiers' home.
