Truck Passenger Dies In Street Fall At Two Intersections
Benjamin Quackenbush aged 65 of 304 South Noble Street died after falling from a moving truck at Harrison and Shelby Streets. Driver Oscar Russell, 24 of 627 Lord Street, was released on his own recognizance after being charged with involuntary manslaughter. Witnesses said the truck moved slowly while Russell said he borrowed it to move a gas stove from Quackenbush’s home to 610 Fletcher Avenue. The stove caused the fall and Quackenbush’s head struck the pavement. Body taken to city morgue.
