Greensburg Water Company seeks injunction over rates
In Greensburg Indiana the Water Company asked federal court for an injunction against the Public Service Commission to stop fixed rates based on a $469 000 valuation. Judge Anderson questioned if the request aimed to fix rates and the company sought higher valuations while refusing to adopt $225 000 or $400 000 based rates. Attorney General Gilliam argued the commission rates are presumptively fair until proved otherwise and the company bears the burden to show impropriety since it refused the newer more productive rates.
