Five men of the Question Mark crew piloted the Fokker over southern California approaching a ninety hour milestone in an air endurance test. The crew refueled nineteen times, with Major Carl Spatz as commander, Captain Ira Baker, lieutenants Elwood Quesada and Harry Halvorson, and Sergeant Roy Hope aboard. The flight began at 7 26 a m Tuesday from Van Nuys Metropolitan Airport and must return to the same field under National Aeronautic Association rules.

Hohlt bandit sentenced to prison term
Lloyd Amos, 25, of 617 North Illinois street and formerly of Komomo, was sentenced to five to twenty-one years in an Indiana reformatory for his part in the F. W. Hohlt & Son dry goods store holdup on December 8. Amos, who testified he is not guilty, was convicted after a three day trial amid accusation of coercion. Two bandits were killed in the holdup attempt.
