Duel Ends Fatal for Wife in Chicago Street

Jack Harland a 38 year old yard conductor for the P and E railway was cut in two by a freight train at Concord avenue at noon today. He was signaling the engineer and leaning from the rear of the train when an overhanging beam from a coal loading platform struck him causing him to fall beneath the wheels. His body was taken to the city morgue.
