Hollywood Dreams and a Penny Pinch
Howell Sheffield, a penniless would be actor, moves to Hollywood and meets Lambie an elderly benefactor who offers money with no strings. He lands a tiny acting job as an extra while Sally Osbourne scorns his ambitions. Lambie pressures him to pay for his room and Howell grows bold with Les for a way to launch his career. He becomes known as the cop in Central Casting and gains better pay, but struggles with identity and romance.
