Christmas Benevolence Spreads Through Indianapolis Institutions
A broad Indianapolis holiday effort featured special dinners and menus for inmates and county institutions. The Salvation Army, De Molay singers, park department decorations, and numerous clubs gave gifts, toys, and baskets to thousands of needy children and families. Hospitals, jails, and shelters hosted carols, programs, and nurse gift distributions, with volunteers from Boy Scouts, the Red Cross, and various civic groups aiding in the season’s outreach.
