An 18 year old office boy Robert Eveler of Washington D C executed a blackmail plot in Chicago after studying fictional detectives Sherlock Holmes and Craig Kennedy. He demanded 3000 to 5000 dollars from Benjamin Ritholz and went to deliver a fake package to Union Station. Police Captain Shoemaker and Sgt. Bennett arrested him in the alley as he counted his loot.
