Crazed hog kills man near Nashville farmer dies
John T. Potts aged 62, a farmer living near Nashville Tennessee, was attacked by a crazed hog while crossing his pasture. The beast ripped a large artery in his thigh and he died almost instantly. Potts was known locally and the incident occurred on his farm in December.

Aging Produce Vendor Found Dead at Home
Frederick Schlegel 69 of 2511 Shelby street was found hanging in his garage by his wife Mrs Louise Schlegel. Motor Policemen George Tipps and William Glispie arrived as she cut him down and began artificial respiration but he died before a doctor or ambulance could reach the scene.
