Auto Hit by Train at Crossing Injures Indiana Man
Willis Hendrickson 30 of Tennyson Indiana was trapped between crossing gates when a Cleveland to St. Louis train struck his auto at the Massachusetts Avenue and Rural Street crossing of the Big Four railroad. Watchman W D Thompson said Hendrickson tried to drive over as the gates lowered and then backed and attempted to cross. His left arm was torn nearly off and he was taken to city hospital. Papers on his person identified him as a principal of a Bonville Indiana school.
