Police testing brakes on Riley Avenue between Washington and New York Streets found one large touring car with no brakes and a 360 foot stopping distance at about 20 mph. Of 697 cars tested Wednesday, 49 had unsatisfactory brakes and were ordered repaired. The test runs today at the same spot and ends Friday near Trowbridge Street with hours 9 am to 8 pm.
