Swindle Plot Led 10 Killing and Girl Charged
In Bentonville Arkansas police say a garage mechanic’s overnight change into a disguised wealthy retiree was a ruse to carry out an insurance swindle. Dr Andrew J Bass a Missouri dentist is held for the murder of William Pearman once posing as William Folta. Pearman identified by Pearl Powell a waitress who knew him. Powell says Pearman and Bass planned a Kansas City land deal with large insurance policies to be used for the land purchase. Bass identified the body as Folta missing seventeen years. Insurance investigators report four policies on Folta later found to total 200000. Powell traveled to Arkansas worried by Bass presence and Pearman’s silence.
