In Enyria Ohio a young man John Henry of Crafton was awakened by burglars, chased them, and was shot dead. In Cricano G W Clarke, Civic Federation president, received a life threatening letter. In Denison a painter George Childs sues Erwin hotel for 800 dollars after a hotel elevator shaft accident. Captain Howgate admitted his identity in court, to be moved to Washington. Fire at Lake Linden, Hancock Michigan destroys homes and businesses with about 20000 dollars in losses.

In Meridian street, Ephraim Kroot was arraigned for beating his 11 year old son Isadore after the boy was refused admission to the local synagogue for being barefoot and dirty.
