Daylight robbery at Valparaiso normal school office ends in deaths

A bold daylight robbery at the Valparaiso normal school office led to a pistol confrontation with the secretary Miss Kats Carbery, who escaped. Two masked attackers, later found to be Cincinnati brothers Robinson, were chased by students and Nathan Howe, who opened fire, leaving one robber dead and the other wounded. Howe donated $1,000. The report bundles numerous other local incidents from fires to accidents and crimes across Indiana, including drownings, shootings, betrayals, and public notices.
