Not A Scientific Fight Gans Nelson Glimpsed In Chicago

Special to The Sum. Chicago February 2 Pictures of the Gans Nelson fight at Goldfield Nev were shown for the press last night. Viewers judged the bout not highly scientific being more a test of endurance. Gans knocked Nelson down three times and Nelson rose each time. Gans appeared distressed at the end of rounds thirteen and forty one after a low blow. A referee viewed the incident from a rear angle and may have seen the blow as low but could not tell if it crossed the line. Both men finished strong with Nelson showing the edge in the final stretch. The rounds thirty two to thirty nine were not shown leading to claims Nelson was warned about tactics by Siler.
