Fire tore through Eastman Schleicher & Lee on Washington street at 6 14 am driving a path to the Indiana National Bank and Western Union building. Losses were heavy with insurance cited around 500 000 and all stock in Eastman Schleicher & Lee gutted. Authorities moved to salvage other properties as flames spread and a live wire caused injuries to several firemen.

Fatal 100 Foot Fall on Indianapolis Gas Construction Site
