Cuicano September 17 Justice Woodman created a sensation in court by charging Michael C. McDonald with attempting to bribe him to influence rulings in cases against George W. Harry C. Roney and Robert Dunning, street improvement contractors, filed suit against the city of Indianapolis Saturday morning seeking 1,000 damages. They allege they were awarded the E Michigan street cleaning contract from State Street to Woodruff Place, fulfilled obligations, and the city owes 879.42. They say they made several demands but the Board of Public Works refused payment.
Philadelphia September 17. The Craven home at Ashbourne burned Friday night when an oil lamp toppled. His two children aged two and ten months, and the servant girl, all perished trapped in the flames.
