Frightful Caisson Explosion Wrecks Louisville Parade
A caisson containing 66 pounds of powder exploded on Third Street during a Grand Army of the Republic parade in Louisville. Five soldiers died and several were injured as mutilated bodies flew across the street and got snagged on overhead wires. Names given include Chas Beechner McBride Arthur Robinson and a colored driver William Adams. A Careless Woman Runs Down 13 Year Old
Katie Hoeltke, 13, living at 28 Massachusetts avenue, sustained severe injuries Monday evening after a bicycle collision with a careless female driver at the intersection of Aslst and Massachusetts avenue.
