A mob in Tyler Texas hanged and burned Henry King after he confessed to murdering Mrs. Bell. Two thousand residents gathered in the public square as King was lashed to an iron rail and burned for the crime, with fire consuming him for about 50 minutes.
At 6 oclock Wednesday morning FE M Carson of 156 Haytave was driving across Panhandle tracks on State street when a switch engine struck the buggy. Carson was thrown several feet and suffered a severely bruised head. His brother with him escaped injury. The horse was unharmed but the buggy was destroyed. The city ambulance transported Carson to his home for recovery.
Fifty dollars reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the assailant who attacked S. W. Potts on October 29, 1995. Information will be kept confidential. Chandler & Taylor Co.
Two suburban Missouri Pacific trains collided near a curve in St Louis at midnight. Engineers Eugene Cameron and John Harper are mangled under wreckage. Firemen True and Dunbar and passenger Patrick Taylor die or fatally hurt. Eighty passengers shaken as switch error caused crash.

Edwin St George Rogers then Henry Smith, a stable boy, clashed over a nuisance dog. After Mrs Rogers ordered the pup bathed, Smith sold the animal instead of drowning it.
