Struck by Engine on Chicago Line Injures O Connor
Ed O Connor and Henry Williams traveled from Chicago to work on the Vandalla railroad. While waiting on West street and Kentucky avenue elevated tracks they were struck by an outbound passenger train on the Chicago Hamilton and Dayton line Tuesday. O Connor saved himself from a 30 foot fall by grabbing the trestle side. Williams hung over the edge and was unhurt. O Connor was taken to City hospital with injuries to legs and body.
