Lewis Brown, returned from Chattanooga in custody of Detective Frank Duncan, is charged with grand larceny for robbing Rothschild's cloak store of furs and trunks. Police traced a trunk from Chicago to Milwaukee and on to Chattanooga then captured Brown who denies the theft.
Pennsylvania workers are urged to make November 8 a holiday as a state-wide strike begins at 7 AM and lasts until 7 PM to vote for trade unionists. The circular, signed by federation leaders, declares the strike aims to restore democratic government and combat corruption in Harrisburg.
