Wreck of Indianapolis Flyer injures twenty five near Goshen
Passenger train No 26 the Indianapolis flyer collided with a switch near Goshen Indiana late Thursday night. Twenty five were injured including Robert McAuley of Goshen with back and spine injuries and Conductor Charles Black of Jeffersonville with facial injuries. The locomotive passed the switch but the baggage coach and following car derailed tearing up track for over 100 feet and blocking traffic for hours. Many passengers returning from the Indianapolis carnival and Woodmen Red Men meetings were hurled from seats. Some women fainted but doctors revived them. Despite serious injuries McAuley and Black were reported to recover.
