Confirmation awaits President Mitchell's acceptance and formal notices.
Wall Street opened in a buoyant mood as word spread that the anthracite strike would be submitted to arbitration. London bought heavily of American securities and coal stocks surged by about one half to three points amid strong demand.

Fred Puckett ex detective and former Muncie police feared figure arrived in Indianapolis Monday with two large revolvers and visited saloons. He was fined 125 dollars in police court, sent to the work house, and five officers arrested him without KO fists as in Muncie.
Walter Kern punished his wife for sitting on the floor instead of a chair. He will serve 590 days in jail and pay a $100 fine. The incident occurred when she was barefoot and told to wear shoes and sit on a chair, and he struck her after she resisted.

Coroner Brayton reports partial findings from the Medical College of Indiana investigation into ten bodies discovered in a cellar after a fire six years ago. He says the remains are mutilated parts used for dissection, with hair on some victims from burns or intact skin, noting a similar hair finding in earlier Broad Ripple fire victims.
Otho G. George named administrator of Pleasant Pruitt estate with an $800 bond. Pruitt and his wife were found dead last week in the basement of their home on East Chrost. Pruitt killed his wife and then himself.

He changed coins, touted machines, and urged play while other saloons on E Washington St, Circle, and nearby streets hosted similar slots and craps. Edward Frander, a street car conductor, was robbed of $2 by two prowlers, one colored and one white, on Monday night at the west end of the Washington street bridge over White River.
