A Sun count placed 8 335 marchers on foot and 1 520 mounted rough riders in Gov Theodore Roosevelt’s Indiana parade. Spectators included notable clubs from Marion Hamilton and Columbia while Roosevelt praised the display calling it the grandest yet in the West and he waved at cheering crowds.
