About 4,000 Indianapolis gas customers have had their gas cut off since November 10, the last day to pay September bills. Many refused to pay, risking a loss of several thousand dollars. The gas company allegedly aims to force the city to cover delinquencies on the bond posted for losses tied to its injunction suit to compel gas service.
Edward Buesking age twenty son of Fred Buesking of Gem was found dead in a field south of Gem and east of Indianapolis with a fractured skull and blunt instrument marks. His gun shows mud in the barrels, suggesting use as a cane. He had started hunting with two Gem men and two Indianapolis men Thursday and was last seen walking home about 4 p m. His body was found at 7 30 a m Friday by George Sommers as coroner Goward of Hancock county investigates.
Indiana inspector McAbee reports to the governor urging appointment of a bakery inspector and legal updates on child and female labor. He cites minimal hospital safety fixes at the Central Hospital for the Insane and urges improved hospital arrangements, boiler licenses, and a self-supporting engineers board to cut boiler explosion deaths.
Harrodsburg Kentucky reports ex Sheriff Mathew Cummings and his wife were riding in a buggy over a bridge lacking guard rails when the horse backing the buggy pushed it off the side. They fell about 20 feet to the creek bottom and suffered severe injuries.

Kentuckians will be allowed to take the goods back to Kentucky. Suit was 449.94.
Dr. R W Long humorously wrapped a small black and tan dog in a five dollar bill while paying the fee at the city controller's office. The dog, no bigger than two fists and described as a little house dog, prompted a joke about license charges. Delinquent fees are pouring in and Controller Breunig’s smile returns.
The Big Four Exposition flyer no 43 on the St. Louis division derailed near Avon, 12 miles west of Indianapolis, injuring thirteen passengers. The rear cars toppled and dragged another into a corn field. one car derailed last. Injuries ranged from scalp wounds to fractured knee and dislocations. Emergency crews rushed to the scene, and the train was later moved to Danville for care. Driver and crew details listed.

J W Drake of Muncie filed in Justice Sheppard's court against George Munroe manager Zimmerman and the Indianapolis athletic association after accusing Munroe of owing five dollars in a hotel bill and attaching Munroe's share of receipts from the Empire boxing contest won by Munroe over Gus Bezenah Thursday night. The case is set for trial next Monday.
Louis Kaufman and Isidor Abstine, clothing dealers on Washington street, were arrested Friday for receiving stolen goods. A trunk of overalls belonging to the Kalamazoo Patent Overall Co. was found in Kaufman’s store, said to have been stolen from Union Station by youths held in Terre Haute. Abstine had a trunk of women’s clothes claimed to be stolen from Union Station on November 19, belonging to L. A. Piper of Eaton, Indiana.

A bench warrant was issued for Albert Tucker of Warsaw after he failed to appear in federal court to answer the charge of failing to place a revenue stamp on a deed. In Pineville Kentucky on November 28 Congressman Vincent Boring of London made a rapid dash to the L and N depot. He rode a horse tethered nearby and galloped across a bridge to jump aboard a departing train. Police chief Slusher attempted to arrest him as he dismounted but Boring escaped. Officers say the act could carry a fine and will pursue him on his return.
New York news reports the Lake Shore increased pay for its conductors. Five hundred switchmen on the Michigan Central received about a ten percent wage raise.
