Fire destroys large medical college building in Indiana
A blaze between 4 30 and 6 a m Friday nearly destroyed the four story Medical College of Indiana at Senate avenue and Market Street. Dr Norman Shobe of Ligonier and Dr Faith Morgan of Plainfield were injured. The fire caused about 25 000 in loss to building and apparatus with many instruments and exhibits destroyed or damaged. The cause remains undetermined though a stairwell origin is favored. the front three floors suffered heavy water damage while the rear collapsed.
