A well dressed stranger known as Cameron Julliot ran a large real estate swindle in Indianapolis in 1895 then fled to Minnesota and Detroit. He forged drafts and fake incorporation papers, made $66 000 ahead, and was captured in Detroit as Stonewall J De France. the case ends with a Detroit settlement leaving victims short of their losses and the forger in prison.
