W. H. O'Brien the incoming auditor of state has added five Democratic appointees to the auditor of state office at the statehouse. The five, already at work, include Harry L. Arnold of Elkhart a bank clerk. Gilbert H. Hendren of J. & J. Broomfield a building and loan clerk. Myron King secretary of the Democratic state committee an audit clerk. James Fletcher of Starke county a clerk in the insurance department. and Girard C. Terrill of Ripley county a securities clerk in the insurance department.
Washington November 22 The census office announced the 1910 enumeration for New York and Ohio. New York totals 9,113,270, an increase of 1,844 or 25.4 percent, yielding additional congressmen under the present ap portionment. Ohio shows 3,? million with a gain of 080,576 or 14.7 percent, updating its congressional seats.
Chicago probate suit seeks to set aside the will of Mrs. Fannole Surdam Stelle who died June 7 at the Palmer house. Edgar C. Accetta, a musician and lawyer in Indianapolis, is named to receive $25,000. The bulk goes to Ebner E. Earl of Troy New York. New York attorneys allege lack of notice and seek probate nullification citing possible mental incapacity and undue influence.
Patrolman Ray Chitwood was dismissed by the board of safety on Wednesday after a second intoxication charge. He had previously been suspended sixty days and faced testimony about drinking at 2404 Brightwood avenue. The board upheld the dismissal despite defenses, prompting an angry outburst from Chitwood.
James A. Allison, living on Three Notch Road, bought the Ward property on Myers Road in Riverside for 40 000. The deed was recorded at the courthouse. The Teal estate includes a farm ready for Mr. Allison to take over and build a fine residence.

The executioner praised Crippen as remarkably defiant, and a crowd gathered as Le Neve boarded for New York, believed bound for Queenstown.
