M W Rose of 2218 Bellefontaine Street suddenly collapsed with paralysis Tuesday while inspecting a new walk at Lexington and Laurel streets. He died at home shortly after. Rose, a 32nd degree Mason and former deputy fish and game commissioner, left the chief inspector’s office with contractor Marian Caldwell. Funeral services are set for Thursday at 2 PM from his home.

One thousand Indiana Odd Fellows and their wives boarded no special train for Greensburg on Wednesday afternoon for the annual visit to the lodge home. They will return to Indianapolis by 7 p m. Carnations in buttonholes honored John F Wallick, journal clerk for the grand lodge I O C F of Indiana for 39 years. Wallick is local manager for the Western Union telegraph company. At the grand lodge opening session $5,000 was appropriated to help defray expenses for entertaining the sovereign grand lodge in Indianapolis next year. Two thousand dollars was voted for this purpose.
