York in custody for assault in mistaken stabbing case

Charles T. York was identified at the police station Thursday as the man who stabbed John Kaney in a W. Washington street barrel house during a political argument Wednesday evening. Kaney was taken to Dr. Hisenbeiss and his prognosis is cautious but hopeful. the weapon struck just above the heart.

Remains of Henry Schrader Returned for Funeral

The body of Henry Schrader who died recently in Cripple Creek Colorado arrived in Indianapolis Wednesday evening and lay in Flanner Buchanan chapel until 11 p m Thursday. It was moved to 94 N Alabama street for a 2 p m funeral and burial in Lutheran cemetery. Schrader was a prominent Indianapolis businessman until nine years ago when he went to Colorado to manage gold mining interests.

Identified the Fellow in Diamond Pin Theft

Peter Larkins was arrested by detectives after Dr. E. Reese identified him as the man who snatched his diamond pin last Saturday night near the Washington and Tulmnofists parade. Reese and his wife saw the theft, gave detectives a description, and Larkins was tracked in the crowd. The case was continued to Friday with Larkins held on a $1000 bond in police court.
