Thomas O'Connor aged 72 of 433 Abbott Street died Thursday afternoon from dropsy. He spent many years at Kingan's packing house and was well known there. He leaves two daughters and two sons, both employed at the packing house. Funeral will be Saturday at St. John's Church.
Friday minutes show R. W. Furnas charged 4092.08 dollars for street cleaning in October. He was fined 3 dollars for failing to comply.

Nellie Lock Lettie Sanburn Addie Gil martin and Thomas Glen of Minerva Street near the cotton mills faced assault and battery charges in police court Friday. A dispute with Glen followed by a light punch left one girl claiming she was knocked down while Glen said she fell. All were discharged as the quarrel cooled. The trio accused Glen of calling them bunga loo girls. They left laughing and chatting as if unscathed.
