Death of Jay Caskey Follows Train Accident Near Parcone
Wednesday afternoon the remains of Jay Caskey arrived from Parsons Kansas with his widow. The funeral is set for 2 PM Thursday at the Brightwood residence of her father Mr Hinch. Caskey, 43, had driven for Beeline for 10 years and on Missouri Karrens and Texas road briefly. He was killed on Sunday when a repaired switch caused his engine to derail at Parcone, scalding him and his fireman who also died. His brother J B Caszey, a passenger engine man on the Big Four since 1917, met the widow at the Union depot.
