Touching Incident at King's Funeral
London May 20 Among the touching moments of King Edward VII’s funeral Queen Alexandra paused before her carriage to stroke the late king’s favorite charger’s mane and pat Caesar the fox terrier Edward loved. The terrier, brought by a giant highlander Friday, had whined since the king’s death and was placed with a veterinarian. The highlander led the dog in the procession just ahead of the carriages.

The article discusses observations of a bright comet stretching from the northeastern horizon to the Milky Way. Dr. Hale cannot confirm if the Earth has passed through the tail. Explanations include being within the tail, having passed through it, or the comet possessing two tails with a second, smaller one visible in the observed streamer positions.
