A streetcar number 567 collided with hose wagon number 4 at 5 29 am Wednesday at the S Meridian street crossing in West Indianapolis. Motorman James Finneman and hose wagon driver Frank Owens were gravely injured and hospitalized, with both possibly fatally hurt. Fireman Ben Foxlow and conductor Charles Manker were stunned and bruised but not seriously hurt. The wreck halted traffic for about an hour as doctors treated the injured at the scene and at nearby hospitals.
