Jamestown Essay Contest Winners at Shortridge High
Charles Julian, a senior, won the $10 prize for the best essay on Historic Jamestown, with Margaret Browning taking second. Four top essays were read Monday morning in the auditorium, Anna Katherine Quick and Josephine Pollitt tying for third. Mrs Laura F Hodges presented the prizes and spoke on Our Debt to the Founders. Judges were G W Hufford Rev C Wicks and Charles C Moores.
