Beri L Madison a Massachusetts avenue shoe dealer is under bond to appear in Squire Judiine court Friday to answer a charge of assault and battery on his young wife. The couple married only months ago and Madison tried to suppress the facts about the incident Tuesday night. A boy named Alexander Davidson intervened on the wife’s behalf and was fined a small amount for his interference. Mrs Madison, about 18, is the young wife while her husband is said to be 23 and noted for his boxing lessons.
Nettie James a 25 year old domestic at 7 Massachusetts Ave was admitted to City hospital on Tuesday afternoon after a morphia overdose in a personal crisis. She came from a wealthy family in a small town and was driven from home after choosing to marry a railroad worker. A woman who sheltered her said she acted insanely and appeared preyed upon by some terrible force.
New York May 8 a special report says six bathing girls at Rockhole Orange mountain had their clothing stolen by unknown men while in the water They remained seven hours and Misa Sandais died of pneumonia Wednesday night.
