Plan to Place Owen Bust on State Lawn
Richmond artist Frances Goodwin will sculpt the Robert Dale Owen bust in bronze in Paris this spring. The Indiana Buildings and Grounds Commission approved placing the bust on an Indiana limestone pedestal outside the statehouse rotunda with ceremonies next winter during the legislature session. The Robert Dale Owen Association, led by Julia S. Conklin, supports the project and lists Esther Griffin White as secretary and S. E. Perkins as treasurer with regional vice presidents across Indiana.

Ed Quinn, 30, a janitor and day watchman at Kingan & Co. packing plant, suffered a broken right arm and head injuries with left arm marked by tooth-like clues.
