Matson Appointed State Tax Commissioner by Gov Marshall
Col. C. C. Matson of Green Castle Indiana has been named state tax commissioner by Gov Marshall. He is expected to assume the $3 000 position May 1 replacing Parks Martin whose term dates from 1905 and may end late summer. The governor indicated amicable terms with Mr Martin. Col. Matson, a former U S representative and Civil War veteran, was a 1888 Democratic gubernatorial nominee.
