Court battles over custody of two year old Sarah Morgan

In probate court Monday, factions of orthodox Jewish relatives and Gentile reformers fought for possession of Sarah Morgan aged 2. Judge Merle Walker appointed guardian J M Kaminsky with orders the child not be placed in a home until the family is thoroughly investigated. The hearing drew Mayor Holtzman and noted the mother’s grief over her husband’s death and the older siblings’ placement in homes.

Peru Doctor Found Dead In Bed In North Grove Home

Special to The Sun. Dr Alfred J James, aged 60, was found dead in his bed at his North Grove residence on Monday morning. The undertaker discovered about 1000 in cash and several certificates of deposit sewn in his underwear. The exact cause of death has not been announced and investigators are examining the scene. The discovery occurred amid routine estate preparations and local authorities are awaiting further details.

No Choice Made by New State Railroad Commission
