Bloody Deed in Redkey Barber Shoots Wife then Himself
Charles Shepherd, a Redkey barber, shot his wife four times Monday and then killed himself. The couple, married a year, had conflicts after she left him for Boswell. Mrs Shepherd, daughter of glass worker Frank Mallen, was visiting sister Mrs Whitsell when the shooting occurred. both deaths expected. In Montpelier, Charles Griffith, while intoxicated, fired at dogs and fatally struck eight year old Abraham Allen. Griffith is jailed.

Sandefur found guilty in Shelbyville man slaughter case
