Mrs Kinchlow is recovering at City hospital after being shot by her son at their W North St home on Thursday. Dr Pettijohn says she is improving though terrified she will die. Kinchlow remains alive and conscious but dangerously weak as doctors monitor him and await his fate after the near fatal attack.
Martha Hoover sues Enos Hoover for divorce alleging failure to provide. Enos, moved to tears on the stand, blamed his mother in law for troubles, recounting crowded living conditions and abuse by the mother in law, including water in the baby's face. Custody of their 3 year old at stake. case adjourned to next week.
Despite a rush for Irving Terry seats, good boxes remain for both performances. Francis Wilson finishes at the Grand Saturday night with The Chieftain. Tsham's octoroons end their clever run at the popular Fark Saturday night. The show is well worth seeing.

MING Ee.XPLOSION WEST NEWTON Pa March 21 A mine explosion occurred Saturday morning at the Ohio and Penneyylvania mine on the Baltimore and Ohio railroad five miles south of here. Debris blasted from the engine room to the office. A water cart mule and cart were blown to pieces. Two men were rescued from the shaft while a man named O'Donnell and a child Willis Davis are believed dead. Afterdamp hinders further exploration.
Union carpenters plan meetings at 14 Delaware street on Monday evening March 23 with address by P. J. McGuire. A mass carpenters gathering will follow in criminal court room on Tuesday evening with P. J. McGuire and Samuel Gompers among speakers. Curtis Ziegner age 11 dies after a southbound streetcar passes over his legs near College Ave and Fifteenth St. A snowball fight distracted him as he ran onto the track. He died at City Hospital after his legs were crushed and his system failed from blood loss. The accident occurred Saturday morning. relatives were unconfirmed until later.
Saturday morning in Indianapolis the Board of Works, Mayor Tageart, Controller Johnson, and Engineer Jeup discussed a gravel street steam roller purchase. They reportedly decided not to buy a roller now as four companies allegedly formed a combine pricing aims high. Leaks linked to officials prompted no bid.
In Chicago on March 21 the jury returned a guilty verdict against W L Webber and his brother J F Webber for conspiracy to kill V Hamlin, secretary of the Wilmey bale tie company. After sentences were handed down, W J Webber collapsed from paralysis, allegedly triggering a chain of events involving hiring Moloney to murder Hamlin for a dollar apiece to secure a permanent position. G V Wing, member of the Cadavers, believes he has the head of Pearl Dryan, the murdered young woman near Fort Thomas Kentucky. A stranger brought the hair to him last Thursday morning. The hair matches the description and is filled with dry leaves. Cincinnati police notified.
John Colin Forbes, the artist, has been at General Harrison's home since Tuesday to paint his portrait. Sittings occur daily.

In Mitaukauee Wisconsin on March 21 John Holginger shot and killed his wife Mrs Johiz i Wolginger and her mother Kate Miller after she started divorce action. He threatened bystanders and was found at 125 Clinton street as police closed in. The couple had separated two months earlier with the wife living with her mother Mrs Miller at 188 Barsley street. The divorce hearing was scheduled for the following week.

ST. Louis March 21 A wagon carrying William Granneman Henry Peters and Garry Schoonfeldt was struck by a terminal railroad engine at Eighth and Poplar on Saturday afternoon. Granneman died en route to the dispensary Peters and Schoonfeldt sustained only slight injuries.
