Broad Ripple oil field yields about 800 barrels daily as new wells come online. Gilchrist and Gold Rich shot their No 2 well last week, now producing 150 barrels per day. The Standard Oil Company struck a well on Saturday good for 7 percent barrels. The Alexandria field closure due to gas waste is expected to boost Broad Ripple output by eliminating gas production.

Mary Taylor, confined in the county poor asylum since 1890, is not expected to live long. Records list her as 61, but officials believe she is much older. She was sent from Indianapolis. Relations are unknown.
Mrs. Dilts, born 1810 in Clark County and longtime Central Christian Church member, celebrated her eighty eighth birthday with a church collection. Once a trained vocalist, she shared memories of hymns and an Easter anthem, singing from memory for a SUN reporter despite frail health.

In Vicksburg Mississippi on Sunday A Sartorius aged 53 a bookkeeper for a wholesale house shot himself in the head the death cause. He leaves a widow and six children.
