In the final hours Speaker Cantwell warned lobbyists and visitors to stay off the house floor. He ordered doorkeepers and pages to ignore them and told members to focus on business. He demanded spectators remain out of proceedings and urged members to keep to their seats during sessions.
The widow of Gen Law Wallace of Indiana offers the federal government a gift to be fed on a fish hatchery preserve near Crawfordsville known as Water Habble. Rep Charles Landis of Indiana received the letter. Congress won’t address the matter this session. A separate suit, Jones vs Indianapolis Tractsm & Terminal, for 10040 damages, is underway in Superior Court No 1.
Miessey Bell, injured, was arraigned before Judge Alford on Thursday and pleaded not guilty to the murder charge of Abe Weigh, a Black man. He stated I shot him but had a reason. He will be tried later.
Mrs Vorste Hee ben, 17, bride of James Hoban, took Inudanum on Wednesday night while Hoban was away. She died at the tits Hospital Turedas. The incident was reported by the St. Louis bureau of the Press Association.
