Boxing Exhb at Coney Island Club Draws Big Crowd
A large audience packed the athletic club house in Coney Island for a boxing program led by a nine round Reynolds Leonard bout won by Leonard. An eight round Ernst Vernon fight followed, ending with Ernst knocking Vernon out in the final rounds. Daly vs Butler produced a brutal finish as Butler dominated and knocked Daly cold. Other notes include Corners: Huntington ball team to host two games at Lanham's park against Indianapolis, and Kid Reed vs Tommy Riley scheduled in Anderson. Various regional results and bouts across Connersville, Lebanon, Anderson, Sheepshead and Latonia associations are listed, along with lingering talk of a potential Fitzsimmons Goddard match.
