He faces 20 days in a workhouse if seen driving again after police court Friday he was charged with speeding drunken assault and battery and operating a vehicle under liquor’s influence. Witnesses testified he was drunk during the night ride and collision with a milk wagon injuring Nealis Fisher and killing the horse. Clemmens claimed he was thrilled to be alive and had only two bottles of beer.

Injuries In Auto Race At Crown Point Hospitalized
Five people were hurt before races began at Crown Point Indiana. Adolph Magnus grandson of Adolphus Busch and two women were thrown from a touring car into a ditch and taken to hospital tents. Florence Packard and Tierriet Barnes suffered serious injuries. Edward Dolliver and T A Free also injured with varying seriousness. A motorcycle electrician Willim McNeil crashed at the graveyard turn with serious injuries, possible death.
