Wilkesbarre Pa June 18 President Mitchell issued a call for a national convention of hard and soft coal miners to be held in Indianapolis at an early date. Secretary Wilson fixed July 17 as the date. If a strike is decided strong union action could involve 300000 bituminous miners joining 150000 anthracite workers, potentially tying up the industry. The meeting is expected to last several days at Tomlinson hall with about 1000 delegates from all fields, including Indiana.
