Edward Beiser, grieving fiancé of a woman who died in a Sunday automobile accident, vows that speed laws fail to deter racers. He claims the companion of Scanlon is Miss Francis, and urges a law capping auto speed at 15 miles per hour to prevent further deaths.
Edward Beiser described the fatal accident near Millersville last Sunday. Linnie Albert, whom he planned to marry, was crushed beneath an overturned car. Beiser says no joyriding occurred and recounts a late night drive with Miss Albert and James Scanlon's carriage.
In a Sunday morning wreck an automobile driven by Jap Ciemens was involved and Miss Linnie Albert died. She was engaged to Edward Belser with a July wedding planned.
Beiser has stayed in his hotel room since the accident and speaks little to visitors. He cried once during the interview and appears heartbroken over what happened.
